Doug Dupree

Doug Dupree is currently the Fire Marshal of the City of San Bernardino and has been in the fire service for over 28 years. He has been with the San Bernardino Fire Department for 13 years, serving as Fire Marshal since January 2002. Previous to his employment with the San Bernardino Fire Department he began his career as a firefighter/paramedic with Hesperia Fire Protection District. He holds a B.S. degree in fire prevention/technology and an A.S. degree in fire science. Additionally, he has completed extensive course work in fire protection systems. 

Doug has served on the executive board of California Fire Chiefs' Association, Fire Prevention Section for over six years. Currently he is past-president of the Southern California section. While on the board of the association he has traveled to four national code development hearings. He has been a member of various statewide fire prevention committees and has served several times on task force groups at the request of the State Fire Marshal. In 2010 he was selected as the fire service state representative to attend Vision 20/20 in Baltimore, MD., and also served as Chairperson of the statewide Task Group 400 (Exit Access Travel Distance of 400 Feet).
