Resources Available Outside Library for San Bernardino Public Library Cardholders

ebook buttonNew! EBooks from OverDrive®  Users from outside the library may browse the library's website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Patrons may check out 3 titles at a time. Lending period is 14 days - though may be returned early. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. While there aren't renewals, item may be checked out again if there aren't holds on it. There are no late fees! Titles may not be downloaded within library except to laptops or wireless mobile devices.
 
General Reference Center (Full Text Index) A general interest database that integrates a variety of sources in one easy-to-use interface. Use General Reference Center to find articles from magazines, reference books, and newspapers, many with full-text and images. Find articles on current events, popular culture, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more. This database is accessible from the library or from home for San Bernardino Public Library cardholders. 
Full-text articles may be translated into various languages including Spanish.

New! Freegal Music
SBPL library cardholders can download 3 songs per week from labels under the Sony umbrella and the Independent Online Distribution Alliance which represents hundreds of smaller and independent music labels from the USA and around the globe.  The IODA content is currently being added to the Freegal database. So now Freegal offers millions of songs from hundreds of labels. The default PIN is the last 4 digits of the patron's library card number and is the same as the PIN used to place holds and check your account with the library catalog. In-library users are encouraged to save their songs to the flash drive as some MP3 players require software installation to be compatible.
