Various citizens, commissions, and committees have been established to advise the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino and assist in determining community policy for specific municipal activities. These groups study problems in detail--- gathering all pertinent information, hearing arguments and weighing requirements - and recommending the most feasible solution. In specific circumstances, Commissions are empowered to render decisions subject to Council ratification. There are many benefits, which accrue to the community as a result of this Commission/Committee structure.
If interested in serving on any committee/commission, please complete the Application for Boards, Committees & Commissions on the City Clerk's webpage or call the City Clerk's Office at (909) 384-5102 to request an application form.
