Youth sports programming is back! Felicia Brown, recreation coordinator leading the charge, has started the program an eight-week pee-wee basketball season slated for a January 2017. Here's everything you need to know about registering your child.
Each child who registers for a youth sport will receive a City of San Bernardino youth sports t-shirt, picture package and individual participant award. A copy of a birth certificate is due at the time of registration of all youth sports. Individual and team registration is accepted at the Hernandez Community Center, 222 N. Lugo Avenue, or the Parks and Recreation main office, 201 N. E Street. Youth sports registration is in person only, no mail-in registration. We accept cash, credit cards and checks.

The Pee-wee Basketball program is designed to introduce participants' ages, 3 to 6 years of age, to organized practices and games. Mini Ballers will be a fun, non-competitive, instructional program that will teach age appropriate basketball techniques. Participants will also be taught teamwork and sportsmanship.
Registration begins November 1 through December 15, 2016. Friendly game play begins the week of January 7, 2017. Parents may register their child individually and coaches may register their team at Hernandez Community Center, 222 N. Lugo Avenue, or the Parks and Recreation main office, 201 N. E Street, 3rd Floor (entrance accessible through the top level of the adjacent parking structure). The fee is $30 for residents of the City of San Bernardino and $33 for non-residents. Fee includes a T-shirt, picture package and an individual award.
