Waste Reduction for College Campuses
The City of San Bernardino is home to the campuses of California State University San Bernardino and San Bernardino Valley College. Like all other CSU and California Community College campuses, California Assembly Bill 75 (1999) requires these facilities to establish source reduction and recycling and to promote waste reduction measures through education to administration, staff, faculty, and students. And just as local jurisdictions, these campuses must report their programming efforts, solid waste generation and diversion to the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
