Homeowners Can Receive Up to $3,000 for an Earthquake Retrofit
Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) was developed to help homeowners lessen the potential for damage to their houses during an earthquake. A residential seismic retrofit strengthens an existing house, making it more resistant to earthquake activity such as ground shaking and soil failure. A typical retrofit may cost between $3,000 and $7,000 depending upon the location, the size of the house, and the amount of work involved.
HOW TO QUALIFY - Open to zip codes 92404 and 92405Program Flier
In order to participate in the program EBB requires homeowners to pre-qualify through a series of questions, to determine whether their house can be retrofit in accordance with Chapter A3*. To find out if your house qualifies, go to EarthquakeBraceBolt.com. Registration is open through Feb. 20.
