B. Warren Cocke
B. Warren Cocke was born in the city of San Bernardino and has been a resident for the majority of his life. He graduated from Pomona High School and San Bernardino Valley College, attended California State University, Los Angeles, and graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in 1965 with a Juris Doctor degree.

Mr. Cocke joined the San Bernardino Police Department in February 1952. He progressed through the ranks and was appointed Chief of Police in 1978. He attended the FBI National Academy in 1975. Upon retirement, he started MLS Consultant Service and has provided consulting services to business and expert testimony to law firms in the areas of police procedures and security related issues.

He was a Security Director for Stater Bros. Markets for 11-1/2 years.

Mr. Cocke holds a lifetime teaching credential issued by the State of California for Police Science and has taught a variety of Police courses at San Bernardino Valley College for over 11 years.

At the age of 15, Mr. Cocke entered the United States Maritime Service; he then joined the United States Marine Corps at age 17, and served in the South Pacific during World War II.

Mr. Cocke is currently serving as Vice President of the San Bernardino Board of Water Commissioners. He was appointed to the Board in 1994 following eight years of service on the San Bernardino Civil Service Commission; he has also served as a Planning Commissioner for San Bernardino.
