- Advising employees of the provisions and enrollment options for various health, dental, vision, life insurance, medical and child care reimbursement, deferred compensation and retiree health plans
- Administering leave programs
- Administering the Long-Term Disability plan
- Developing and updating policies and procedures
- Administering employee evaluation practices
- Administering employee incentive plans
- Preparing and processing a variety of personnel transactions
- Representing the Water Department in labor relations and negotiations
- Administering disciplinary actions
