Administrative Services is dedicated to providing quality administrative services for the City of San Bernardino, Water Department. The Administration Services Division is composed of the following sections: Human Resources, Customer Service/Collections, Conservation/Public Affairs, Field and Meter Services, Information Technology, Purchasing and Fleet.
- Environmental and Regulatory Compliance
Have you ever wondered where your money goes when you pay your monthly water bill? The Finance Division, which includes the Accounting Section and the Finance Section of the Water Department, has the responsibility of overseeing the management of its financial resources, including the fees collected for water and water reclamation services. Finance is tasked to ensure that those resources are used not only effectively, but efficiently. - Water Reclamation
The San Bernardino Municipal Water Department has operated the Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) since 1973. The WRP is a 33 MGD Regional Secondary Treatment facility that provides trusted, quality wastewater treatment services for the City of San Bernardino, Loma Linda, East Valley, San Bernardino International Airport, Patton State Hospital, and unincorporated San Bernardino County areas.
- Water Utility
The City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department's mission is to meet our customer's needs by providing high-quality service in water supply, water reclamation and geothermal heating in the most professional and cost-effective manner possible. We produce all of our own water using 53 wells located in our water service area and deliver it to more than 40,000 service connections through over 700 miles of water mains. The water we deliver meets or exceeds all government health and safety standards.
