The Environmental and Regulatory Compliance (ERC) division was organized in July 2006, as the result of merging Safety and Environmental regulatory compliance functions. The division was created to provide more visibility and resources in this vital focus area. The division includes a Director, Safety and Environmental Supervisors, four Regulatory Analysts, and an Administrative Coordinator. The Department's activities can have impacts in several arenas beyond water supply, treatment, and/or discharge. The ERC division role includes Department compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations associated with safety, water, air, and land as related to departmental activities.
