The Water Utility Administrative section provides leadership, planning, and direction to the Water Utility Division. The Water Utility Division is able to meet our customers' general administrative needs by providing high-quality service in water supply and geothermal heating in the most professional and cost-effective manner possible.

Water Utility employees are highly trained to meet Water Department needs. Employee certifications include Department of Health Services Distribution Operator, Department of Health Services Treatment Operator, Certified Control Systems, Backflow Prevention, Cross-Connection Control, Weights and Measures Meter Tester and more.

WU Administration directly supervises the Engineering, Operations, Distribution, and Water Quality sections to deliver the highest quality water every day to its customers in San Bernardino. Doing this involves maintaining and repairing existing infrastructure, designing and constructing new infrastructure, keeping current on all new applicable regulations and continuously training and recruiting a well-qualified work force.
