Information Technology

 
Information Technology (IT) is an internal service department that serves the information technology needs of the City's departments, including some items for the Water Department. IT is responsible for enterprise-wide communication and information technology services.

Business Systems: Provides technology services for enterprise and departmental applications, and the public and internal websites, to non-public safety City departments, with the goal of meeting their technology requirements for providing municipal services to the community.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Provides geographic or spatial data (maps, reports and interactive map services) to all City departments and the public enhancing their ability to analyze and understand spatial relationships and data.

Office Automation (OA): Administers the City's email, departmental storage, anti-virus and anti-spam systems.

Print Shop: Provides print and mail services to City departments.

Network Services: Develops and maintains a dependable network infrastructure for the City in order to provide a solid foundation for application software and automated technologies, including telephones and wireless services.

Client Services: Maintains and repairs all City desktop equipment and software and operates the City's computer help desk.

Public Safety Systems: Provides technology support to Police Department. Manages and maintains all public safety projects, including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), radios, Mobile Data Computers (MDCs), desktop computers, laptops and other related public safety gear.
