City to Honor the 50th Anniversary of the 1972 CAC All Stars California State Championship Team from San Bernardino
 On Wednesday, August 3rd at 7:00 pm, the Mayor and City Council will recognize the 50th anniversary of the 1972 San Bernardino CAC All Stars incredible run of twelve straight victories en route to a 13-1 record and a second place finish at the Little League World Series Western Regionals.
The Civic Athletic Club All Stars, from the 6th Ward in the City's west side, are the last team from San Bernardino to be State champions and advance to the LLWS Western Regionals.
The team was guided by manager Al Jury, league president Felton Anderson, and the late coach Leonard Davis.
The CAC All Stars team members were Michael Adams, Paul Anderson, Harry (Teddy) Brown, Bobby Caldwell, Lynn Davis, Gary Dawson, Gerald Jacks, John Jordan, Kevin McDowell, Kevin Mosley, Zachary Russ, Ladell Taylor, Byron Wilhite, and William (Billy) Wilson.
In 1972, the team won twelve consecutive games and won the state championship.  They were defeated in the semifinals of the western regional playoffs by Pearl City, Hawaii.  The team went on to win the consolation championship of the western region tournament to finish with a record of thirteen and one.
